2018-2019 Parking Permit Information
ThunderRidge High School

Who can apply for a TRHS parking permit?
Senior,  Junior and Sophomore students that have no prior year fee balances.

When and where do I submit my application?
Submit your application (available through Online Check-In) online beginning July 18, 2018.
The deadline for the Parking Permit application is August 5th at 12:00 AM.

If I apply for a parking permit, am I guaranteed to receive one?
No, parking spaces are limited.  Receiving a parking permit is a privilege, not a right.
Senior and Junior students are given priority.
Students who have past due balances are not eligible, please check your parent portal (IC) account to see if you have a past due balance.

 Process For 2018-2019 Parking Permits

1.  Clear past due account balances - ALL previous year(s) outstanding fees/fines MUST be cleared before submitting application. A report will be generated on Monday, August 6th. If a student has a balance on their account on August 6th, their name will be removed from the application list and a permit will NOT be issued.

o   To make a payment on prior year fees, login to your Parent Portal or make payment with credit card by calling Pamela Reiners, TRHS Bookkeeper, at 303-387-2016.

2.   Submit online application by August 5, 2018 at 12:00 am – available through Online Check-In (opening July 18) - Applications will be date/time stamped and sorted by grade level - permits will issued to seniors first.

o   If you are approved for a parking permit you will be notified through your student DCSD email and your Student Check-In Passport will be stamped for pickup (Onsite Student Check-In is August 9, 2018).

3.   Pay for permit - The cost of the permit is $50 for the school year. This fee will be added to the student’s account and due by October 1, 2018. If not paid by October 1st, the permit will be revoked and the vehicle will be subject to parking violations.

4.   Parking Permit Pick Up – Students will pick up their TRHS Parking Permit at Onsite Student Check-In on August 9, 2018 in the Small Gym after receiving their photo ID.

If I do not apply online for a parking permit can I purchase one later?

·       Since parking spaces are limited, there is no guarantee permits will be available after the online application deadline of August 5th. It is advised to complete the online application if you plan to park at TRHS at any point during the 2018-19 school year.

·       Beginning August 10th, senior, junior and sophomore students who did not apply online for a parking permit may add their name to a waitlist through TRHS Security at the upper kiosk. TRHS will contact waitlisted students if a permit is/becomes available.  Priority will still be given to senior and junior students

.

When will TRHS begin issuing parking violation citations?

·       All students must have a valid TRHS parking permit displayed on their vehicle by August 31st. Vehicles in the parking lot after August 31st without a valid TRHS parking permit will be issued a parking violation. Vehicles parked on school grounds without a valid TRHS parking permit, parked in a Handicap space, No Parking Area, Fire lane, Visitor Space, or parked improperly will be ticketed and a fine assessed to the student Infinite Campus account.  Parking regulations will be strictly enforced and any parking/driving violation will result in a monetary fine and or a wheel boot, towing, disciplinary action or suspension/loss of parking privileges/permit for the remainder of the school year at the discretion of TRHS Administration with no refund.
